Our lodgings The main house and the gîtes date from 1713, they are in a walled garden facing south. Each cottage is independent and offers privacy for each family. ​ The Opaline and Ambre lodgings have been tastefully renovated combining charm, chic & elegant comfort. The decor will seduce you, we hope! Vacation homes decorated in soft, neutral tones with a few unique touches that give each an individual look. ​ The gites have lots of character with original exposed beams and stonework. Contact Photo galleries Opaline and Amber The rooms are generous in size with lots of light and space. ​ The open, personalized kitchens are fully equipped with all quality branded household appliances (dishwasher, extractor and halogen hobs, microwave, toaster, kettle, electric oven, fridge freezer). The living rooms are composed of 3 and 2 seater sofas and armchairs. So after a long day of sightseeing or after strolling by the pool, you can get together around a good glass of Charentais wine or Champagne (soon Show room with several local products at your disposal). You will also find a television and many DVDs at your disposal. The dining rooms have sideboards, table and chairs (for 6 people) with a view of the garden. Each cottage has a Wifi connection for those who need to keep in touch with work or friends, or simply for tourist information. Our cottages are composed of 3 bedrooms that can accommodate 6 people. You will find a 160 bed, a king size, two 90 cm beds that can be joined together. For the equipment of your toddlers, we graciously offer you a cot and other equipment that you will find HERE in this list. However, if you need anything else, please let us know. In the list of children: only cot, high chair, changing mat, booster seat, stroller with parasol, several wooden toys available, children's cup and plates In the Opaline cottage, we have a large, very bright new Italian bathroom with shelves and toilets. In the Amber cottage, we have a shower room on the ground floor and upstairs a bathroom and toilet. The gîtes are open all year round and are well heated in cold weather. There are preferential rates for long-term rentals, weekends (except July/August) and end-of-year celebrations. For the high season period, breakfasts are included (pastries and bread only). Outside this period, breakfasts will be extra on request. Our little extras... We have themed evenings: Artisanal pizzas made by Stef (35 years of craftsmanship in pizza!!), barbecue, other... ​ You arrive tired from your trip, at your request we will prepare a simple and delicious meal for you (let us know in advance - price depending on the theme). Gardens and car parks We offer you serenity, on all levels The safety of children is paramount. The private gardens are walled, the main garden of the property is gated. We have a beautiful 10m x 5m swimming pool with Roman style steps making it perfect and accessible for all ages. There are travertine surrounds, a teak deck with umbrellas, deck chairs etc...lights around the edge of the pool so you can keep the conversation going in the evening! No parking worries for your vehicles. An electrical outlet is available for your vehicles (paying)

Booking conditions Reservation A first non-refundable deposit equivalent to 30% of the rental must be attached to the booking form. The balance of the rental, plus a deposit of 300€, is payable 4 weeks before the start date of the holiday. ​ We reserve the right to deduct from the deposit a sum corresponding to any breakage or damage to the gîte or its contents if necessary. The deposit (in whole or in part) will be refunded to you 14 days after your departure. ​ Cancelation As soon as the reservation is confirmed you must pay us the rest of the amount of the stay. If you wish to cancel your holiday outside the 4 week notice period, we will try to rebook your reservation period. If this is the case, and at our discretion, we will refund all or part of the deposit. ​ Lodging Rentals are from 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival to 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure (July & August for the week only otherwise minimum two nights) The number of tenants cannot exceed the number indicated on the booking form. Pets are not accepted. Damage must be reported to owners immediately. In case of breakdowns or damage, you are required to notify the owner immediately and not wait for your departure. Thanks for understanding. We reserve the right to apply a cleaning supplement in the event that a gite is not left clean. For health and safety reasons, it is forbidden to smoke in the gîtes. The use of the gîte and the equipment - piscine, terrain, etc… - is entirely under the responsibility and at the risk of the Clients. The Owner cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss or damage whatsoever, suffered by the customers and their personal effects. Note: It is essential that you take out your own holiday insurance. Discover the magnificent ensemble of the Royal Abbey and the old medieval town, then stroll from street to street, from square to square. The donkey factory of Baudet du Poitou Conservatory breeding site for Poitevine Mulassières breeds, a Nature Pole of the department.
